Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Owner

Kristin Cook, RYT-500

Kristin is a certified yoga and meditation teacher with specialized certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Mindfulness Meditation. A former middle school educator with a Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University, Kristin facilitates mindfulness training for businesses to help them cultivate mindful leaders, build healthy and high-performing teams, and foster a culture of trust, accountability, and empathy. Kristin teaches from a trauma-informed perspective, providing options and variations to empower students to make choices that best suit their needs and comfort. Diagnosed with a life-altering chronic pain condition in 2016, she found that her yoga and meditation practice became more important than ever before, allowing her to heal her body, mind, and spirit. She is passionate about sharing yoga and mindfulness practices with others so that they too can experience its positive effects.

Leslie Lloyd, L.Ac., M.Ac.

Leslie Lloyd hold a masters degree from the Maryland University Of Integrative Health where she has served as an acupuncture clinical supervisor and faculty member. She has also studied Psychology, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Massage Therapy, and is a Certified Life Coach and workshop facilitator. Leslie brings years of experience in the healing arts and blends both eastern and western medicine in a practical yet powerful way to help her clients live their best lives.

Certified Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher

Nichole Yungwirth, RMP, RYT-200

Nichole is a Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Reiki Master whose wellness journey began in 2008 when she graduated from The Baltimore School of Massage. Since then she has become certified in a multitude of modalities including Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point and Reflexology. Combining massage knowledge with yoga and energy work, Nichole hopes to help others lead a pain free and reduced stress life.

Certified Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist

Missy Steger, L.Ac., LMT

Missy Steger has been practicing massage therapy since 2002 and has continued with her education earning a Masters of Acupuncture at premiere school here in Laurel MD. Missy has expanded her practice to not just working with muscular issues, but all realms of pain, allergies, asthma, skin conditions, anxiety, insomnia, GI upset, and the list goes on. As an active suburban mom in Ellicott City, Missy understands the demands on each individual person in the household as we try to keep up with the demands of life. “Acupuncture is a way to nourish and strengthen your body so that you can walk your path with a strong mind and resilient spirit.” When Missy is not at the office, she is reading, weight lifting and attempting to navigate her kids' pre-teen years. She also works part time in conjunction with Johns Hopkins at the Claudia Mayer Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center.

 

Certified Acupuncturist

Allison Rowan, L.Ac., M.Ac.

Allison holds a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and has practiced for over 10 years. Her first experience with acupuncture arose from futile attempts to alleviate her own pain from herniated discs with Western medicine. After her first acupuncture treatment, she was amazed at how effective it was in alleviating her pain and elevating her mood. As an avid athlete, Allison enjoys treating conditions with a specialty in orthopedic and sports medicine acupuncture. Focusing on both symptom relief and promoting healing capacity, she aims to help people realize the efficacy this medicine has in preventing illness. She is also a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, has completed training in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Battlefield Acupuncture for pain management and holds advanced certification in Thai massage. On the side, she practices as a TRX Qualified Trainer and certified Spartan SGX Coach. In her free time, she can be found in the ninja gym training for obstacle course races, dabbling in ‘paint your pet’ portrait classes, or exploring Charm City with her rescue dogs.
