3/15- Introduction to Tai Chi, Part 2: 5-Class Series

  • Sundays, 11:00 am- 12:00 pm

    March 15, 22, April 12, 19, 26

  • This is a continuation of our series, Introduction to Tai Chi. Participants enrolling in this class shall have either taken Part 1 with us, or have background knowledge of the Tai Chi form.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that coordinates slow flowing movements with the breath. Tai chi improves strength, flexibility, balance and mental focus. It also reduces stress and anxiety and improves one's sense of well being.

In this 5 week introduction to Tai Chi we will learn the basic principles of Tai chi using the Four Pillars of health.  The Four Pillars of health include breathing exercises, gentle movement, meditation and self massage. Also we will discuss the 5 Element Theory of Chinese medicine for the season of winter. People of all ages and capabilities can benefit from this practice of Tai chi.

3/22- Spring Equinox Energy Activation: Awakening the Power of Conscious Creation.

with Leslie Lloyd

  • Sunday, March 22, 2:30-4:30 pm

  • Just as seeds planted deep in the earth lie quietly through winter before rising toward the sun in spring, so too does our limitless potential wait for its moment to emerge. As a new season begins, something within us stirs. The time of rest is giving way to a time of intentional creation.

Life is ever-changing and often uncertain. In the midst of it all, clarity becomes our compass. Rather than allowing life to simply happen to us, what if we chose to consciously align with the creative power of spring? What if we envisioned the path ahead—not only for ourselves, but for the collective?

I invite you to join me for a powerful Equinox Transformational Energy Activation. We will explore the Hun—the spiritual aspect of the Liver in Chinese medicine, associated with the Wood element. It is responsible for the energies of vision, intuition, creativity, and dreaming. The equinox is a potent time to activate this force within us.

This two hour session will blend wisdom from Chinese Medicine with modern Coaching transformational processes. We will reflect and journal on what we truly want in our lives. Then, through conscious connected breathwork and guided visualization, we will awaken creativity, expand possibility, and elevate our vibration. By shifting our focus from what feels misaligned in our lives and the world to what is possible, we begin to birth new ways of being. In community, we’ll plant the seeds of a new becoming—for ourselves and for our world.

3/28- Sage Against the Machine: Rock out, Rage, & Roar!

with Nancy Fallon

  • Saturday, March 28, 3:00-4:30 pm

  • During the course of this workshop, you’ll be invited to express your inner lion surrounded by the support and encouragement of a like-minded group! What are we mad about? The state of the world! The trauma we endured! The grief in our hearts! All of the ways we have been pushed aside, bullied, shushed, or unjustly burdened! Anything and all is welcome at the table.

What will we do? Rage! The energy of anger and frustration is often looked at as “wrong” or “bad” in our society, but the truth is, it’s an emotion that has an equal place at the table and needs to be expressed vocally and physically in order to clear from our hearts, psyche, and energy field. If it is denied or repressed, it has nowhere to go and instead lingers in our body giving us a burden to carry around.

Gift yourself this safe space to lean into your intuition, listen to what your heart already knows, and unearth what needs to shed once and for all. We will journal, we will investigate, we will scream, we will move, shake, and make space for our fury to emerge. Join us, and let your anger speak!
